My favorite type of cinnamon roll is cranberry and dark chocolate with orange zest cream cheese icing.  I also made a baklava cinnamon roll with pistachios and lemon peel with rose water icing.   Mmmmm...  perfect for the holidays.

I love cinnamon rolls as much as the next guy. I've made many varieties and because I don't like them for just special occasions I stick with the ease of the frozen bread dough variety. I find, at least for me, it is the filling and frosting that counts. Feel free to add chocolate, nuts, raisins and even bacon for a change. I've also added pumpkin. http://thisishowicook.blogspot.... On my days off I go yeast dough but this is much easier! The recipe posted is more the Cinnabon variety.
