How do you use garam masala?
I love to add garam masala to any non-vegetarian dishes. Its also perfect when roasting vegetables. Add it to the oil while sauteing or sprinkle some at the end of cooking. http://feedyourtemptations.blo...
my gal pal living in Montana told me about garam masala...and even sent me some...I ♥♥♥ it so much...I bought my supply

So many ways! Spring: mix with a frozen banana smoothie and yogurt. Summer: saute fresh nectarines with a little butter and garam masala and pour over vanilla ice cream. Autumn: A key ingredient for a pumpkin pie or apple pie spice blend. Winter: Saute it with onions for the base of a squash soup.
This spiced basmati rice goes well with Indian food. http://whatfoodimade.wordpress...
Mostly, I prefer using WHOLE garam masala (a mixture of cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and green cardamoms), rather than garam masala powder, which gives a stronger flavour to the Indian dishes. I make PANCHRATAN DAL (dal with five kinds of lentils), in which garam masala powder, however, works wonders! http://cosmopolitancurrymania....
We love it in soooo many dishes! One of our faves is a braised chicken tikka:http://realfoodfast.blogspot.c...
