I learned how to make pasta a little while back - I LOVE it, and I never thought it would be so easy!  Fresh pasta makes a huge difference in a dish!

Butterscotch sauce, straight from the Joy of Cooking 4th edition cookbook.  It's no fail.  In the same vein is English toffee hard candy.  YUM!  But not in August, unless the air conditioning is taking out most of the humidity from the air. Oh, and canning anything from berries, to tomatoes, to squash, to cucumbers (pickled in various ways).  Come September, it's going to be lots of hot pepper jelly!

I have too many to choose!   I guess if it really came down to choosing one.. it would have to be making and canning my own marinara and spicy tomato basil sauce which I'll be doing in a few weeks. I look forward to it every year.  Making and jarring my own roasted peppers and pickles is a close second, which I just recently did with Emeril Lagasse's recipe (totally awesome, by the way: link here :http://katefromscratch.com/201... ).  OH! And, if pizza counts as such a project...then pizza too.  I like to eat pizza.  Yes.

 My wife's grandma use to make somthing like this for our dog.  we called them "Grandma snacks".  My dog still goes nuts when we say grandma. haha
